- Individuals can use Garrison Bible Study without a church. Personal study and habits are the v1 focus.
- Churches are optional tenants. When linked, church staff can manage more through integrations and church-scoped features (later).
- Groups: church-scoped or user-created; invite-only discovery (no geolocation in v2 initial cut; geo may be opt-in later).
- Row-level isolation: shared database with
church_id on tenant-scoped rows (Deployment).
Individuals without a church—or churches not using Garrison Bible Study—are explicitly supported so growth is not blocked.
- Now: Free for everyone; no billing in v1.
- Later: Mix of B2B2C (churches pay) and freemium (individual premium features).
- Church-paid tenancy (when billing ships) underpins the church-trust exemption for platform Identity verification — paying churches vouch for their members instead of each member completing platform ID checks.
